Masks don’t transform people into liars or frauds. They don’t make you fake or changeable. They are merely protections for those who are too scared or sensitive to let their inner self…their true self…be known and acknowledged. So, instead of fearing the masks…use them. Use them as a Noh actor uses his masks to bring life to a character. Think of them as part of yourself in order to give life to your own play.
